Applications

Our mixture is particularly intended for conditioning water from steam generators supplied by demineralised, osmosed or merely softened water.

The risks incurred when the physico-chemical parameters of water are modified are the following :

– SCALING which results in a decrease of heat exchange which can cause local overheating or defects in the security mechanisms.

– CORROSION (by pitting, by differential aera- tion, pH range, …) can be localised both under the water level and in the entire steam system and condensates.

To these two phenomena we can add that of PRIMING (priming of water with steam) that can be the result of faulty heat exchanges, pollution of finished products when there is direct contact with steam, deposits on turbine blades, etc.

Its adapted formulation of our asset limits corrosion phenomena due to the adsorption of film-forming amines on the metallic surfaces in water phase and during condensation without affecting proper heat exchange of the installation.

The balanced dosage among several alkalising amines with different steam/water distribution coefficients makes it possible to maintain the desired pH for the condensates by neutralizing the degassed CO2 at the time of decomposition of the bicarbonates.

Its dispersant properties make it possible to limit the phenomena of the precipitation of salts in scaling form.

FDA COMPLIANT : Only contains raw materials approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) legislation paragraph 21 CFR 173.310 concerning all the authorized substances for the treatment of generators where the steam is in direct contact with foodstuffs.

Last but not least, it has NSF certification in the G6 category: Treatment of boilers where the steam comes in contact with foodstuffs (registration no.: 149127).

Implementation

The implementation of our mixture will be done through a dosing station proportionate to the make-up water which makes it possible to considerably reduce the time devoted to the implementation of the water treatment of steam generators.

The dosage will depend on the following parameters :

– Manufacturer’s instructions – Quality of make-up water.

Dosage adjustments will be made based on test results. If necessary, all of the analysis methods including the active ingredients of our solution can be provided to you. Consult us.

Additional analyses can however be carried out. Please consult us.

In the absence of builder instructions, the analyses of water required for proper operation of an installation and for the control are summarised here after :

Handling and storage

It is recommended to take customary precautions while handling chemicals (gloves, glasses …).
Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

The products must be kept away from frost.
